Internationally renowned as a brilliant innovator of the classical guitar, Paul Galbraith has been working since the 1980s towards expanding the technical limits of his instrument while augmenting the quantity and quality of its repertoire. In the eight-string Brahms Guitar, which he helped develop, Galbraith found the ideal instrument for his challenging classical transcriptions.
Galbraith's 1998 Delos recording of Bach sonatas and partitas received high critical acclaim and earned him a Grammy® nomination. His VBF performance will include transcriptions of the Bach cello suites.
